Course Description          

In this seminar we will explore through lecture, partner exercises, group exercises and inner meditation two of the fundamental energy channels of the human body – the Du and the Ren

Course Outcomes

After completing this workshop participants will have a deeper understanding of the role of the Du and the Ren in the human energy system. They will have the tools available to access and heal these two fundamental channels in themselves and their patients

COURSE OUTLINE:

 

• A summary of the core concepts of the Eight Extraordinary Channel theory in Sacred Acupuncture
• The specific kinetics and architecture of the Du Mai and the Ren Mai
• Pathology, signs and symptoms suggesting Du and Ren imbalances
• The Du and the Ren in relation to psychological and  spiritual qualities
• Afflictive emotions from Du and Ren imbalance
• Redemptive emotions connected to health in these channels
• The points of the Ren Mai and the Du Mai
• How the Eight Extraordinary Channels are expressed, and can be accessed for diagnosis and treatment, within the hands and feet.
• Diagnostic techniques to understand the condition of the Du and the Ren - Qigong diagnosis, muscle testing diagnosis, postural diagnosis, symptom diagnosis and Shen diagnosis
• Accessing Segmental and zonal relationships (embryonic somite distinctions) in the Du and Ren
• Understanding the energetic code of the cranial, cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral and coccygeal segments of the Du Mai
• Understanding the cascading nature of the descent of the Ren Mai and its relationship to the three Dan-Tian, the chakras and the Yin energy of the body
• The relationship of the Eight Extraordinary Channels to the trigrams of the Yi Ching. The specific trigrams of the Du and the Ren
• Specific Qigong exercises to work with the Du Mai and the Ren Mai
• The relationship of the Eight Extraordinary Channels to the Eight Auspicious Symbols. The specific symbols and hand positions for the Du and the Ren
• The connection of the Du Mai and Ren Mai to the 12 channels of the acupuncture meridian system. Beyond S.I. 3 and GB. 41, other points and zones which access the energy of these channels.
• How to combine acupuncture with specific breathing patterns, visualizations and affirmations to open the Du or  the Ren

1:30 PM	2:30 PM		Body zones to access the Du and the Ren. How the Eight Extraordinary Channels are expressed, and can be accessed for diagnosis and treatment, within the hands and feet.
2:30 PM	4 PM		Diagnostic techniques to understand the condition of the Du and the Reni - Qigong diagnosis, muscle testing diagnosis, postural diagnosis, symptom diagnosis and Shen diagnosis.
4 PM	5:30 PM		Practice of the clinical applications
