Course Description          

In this seminar we will explore through lecture, partner exercises, group exercises and inner meditation these two bilateral energy channels of the human body – the Yang Qiao and the Yin Wei.

Course Outcomes

After completing this workshop participants will have a deeper understanding of the role of the Yang Qiao and the Yin Wei in the human energy system. They will have the tools available to access and heal these two fundamental channels in themselves and their patients.

COURSE OUTLINE:

 

• A summary of the core concepts of the Eight Extraordinary Channel theory in Sacred Acupuncture
• The specific kinetics and architecture of the Yang Qiao and the Yin Wei
• Pathology, signs and symptoms suggesting the Yang Qiao and the Yin Wei imbalances
• The Yang Qiao and the Yin Wei in relation to psychological and  spiritual qualities
• Afflictive emotions from Yang Qiao and Yin Wei imbalance
• Redemptive emotions connected to health in these channels
• The points of the Yang Qiao and the Yin Wei
• How the Eight Extraordinary Channels are expressed, and can be accessed for diagnosis and treatment, within the hands and feet.
• Diagnostic techniques to understand the condition of the Yang Qiao and the Yin Wei - Qigong diagnosis, muscle testing diagnosis, postural diagnosis, symptom diagnosis and Shen diagnosis
• The relationship of the Yang Qiao to the anatomical spleen,  the ascending Shen, the ten Heavenly Rays (stems) and the Window of Heaven points
• Understanding the relationship of the Yin Wei to descending excess and detoxifying the internal organs and afflictive emotions
• The relationship of the Eight Extraordinary Channels to the trigrams of the Yi Ching. The specific trigrams of the Yang Qiao and the Yin Wei
• Specific Qigong exercises to work with the Yang Qiao and the Yin Wei
• The relationship of the Eight Extraordinary Channels to the Eight Auspicious Symbols. The specific symbols and hand positions for the Yang Qiao and the Yin Wei
• The connection of the Yang Qiao and the Yin Wei to the 12 channels of the acupuncture meridian system. Beyond U.B.62 and P. 6, other points and zones which access the energy of these channels.
• How to combine acupuncture with specific breathing patterns, visualizations and affirmations to open these channels
