How the energies of Creation emerge as a mathematical progression
Inside this fourth or Devic body the energies of the Creator manifest first as Yin and Yang – Nothingness and Everythingness. Then they arise as three states. The three states are simply Nothingness, Everythingness and that which contains both and is therefore neither. This third state I have termed Beyond or ‘Prior to’, because I don’t know what else to call it.
Then arise four forces which correspond to the four classical elements of the European and Arabic traditions. These are Fire Earth, Air and Water. In the Chinese system these correspond to the four of the five elements- Fire, Earth, Metal and Water.
Then they manifest as the five forces – the five elements of various traditions.
The Five Forces in Taoism are called the ‘Wu Xing’ To translate them as elements is actually misleading, because the physical elements are just examples of these five forces. They are Fire – which is the spark of conscious intent; Earth which is the container and substance of all manifest existence, Metal – which is the crystallization of thought or intelligence into Form, Water – which is the substance of consciousness, the ocean of consciousness, and Wood – which is the intelligence which harnesses the other four forces to generate five bodied beings – which is what all sentient creatures are – all moving through a vast cycle of evolution. This is the tree of life, the world tree, Gaia, the Green Man, the web of life and the spider that weaves it. It is called in Taoism – Wood, but it is more accurately translated as Tree. It holds the other four elements.
The five elements are in turn ‘driven’ by four underlying energies. In Taoism these four underlying energies are the Sheng, Ke, Reverse Sheng and Reverse Ke cycles. These four forces can be understood as Birth, Growth, Decline and Death, which correspond to the Sheng, Reverse Ke, Reverse Sheng and Ke cycles respectively.
The Two primary divisions, the three states, the four elements, the Five forces- and so on unfold in fractal divisions out and away from the Supracausal / Universal body. These all resonate through the fourth body, the Devic body, creating different realms within that body. So distinguishing between the Mental body and the Devic body can be tricky, because the higher the level of the Devic vibration, the closer to infinite silence, stillness and purity is the quality of the Mental body.
We are beings balanced exquisitely between the four evolutionary consciousness levels of animal nature – unicellular, insectoid, reptilian and mammalian; and the four consciousness states of our non-physical nature as etheric beings (that is as beings of Qi or spirits of vital energy); as Mental beings, as Devic beings and as Creator.
Human beings contain in our consciousness all of these levels of consciousness, we witness them all, we are them all. Hence it is said that man is made in God’s image. For our true consciousness is the container of all the other levels of consciousness in our universe.
