 In this seminar we will explore through lecture, partner exercises, group exercises and inner meditation the anatomy of the Shen. This will better enable us to understand and address the Shen energy in our patients’ healing process 

• We will explore the Shen as psychological and constitutional types
  
  
• the fundamental emotions and their inter-relationship with the Zang Fu organs
  
  
• The Shen in trauma, the process of suppressed memory and post-traumatic stress
  
  
• the mental and emotional kinetics of the Eight Extraordinary channels.
  
  
• the mental and emotional processes associated with the regular acupuncture channels.
  
  
• Emotional processing and the shadow channels

 

Course Description:           

In this seminar we will explore through lecture, partner exercises, group exercises and inner meditation the different components of the Shen. This will better enable us to understand and address the Shen energy in our patients’ healing process. 

Course Outcomes/Student Competencies:                                   

After completing this course, participants will have a deeper understanding of the components of the Shen. Students will gain experience of  working with the Shen in a variety of clinical cases.
